Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care Internal and Family Medicine North Macon welcomes Dr. Timothy Griffin. The team at Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care North Macon provides preventative care, same-day sick appointments, immunizations, X-rays, lab work, chronic disease management and more.

Dr. Griffin isn’t new to Atrium Health Navicent. He’s been a resident physician since 2021 and leads the Walk With A Doc wellness program sponsored by Atrium Health Navicent and other community partners. The walk meets at Amerson River Park on the first Saturday of each month and offers an opportunity for participants to have an informal conversation with a doctor while taking a walk at the park.

Before earning his medical degree at Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, West Indies, in 2021, Dr. Griffin served with the Air Land Emergency Resource Team, a volunteer service organization based in Texas, where he was dispatched to serve in disaster relief and recovery roles.

He enjoys traveling, fitness, trying new restaurants, playing the organ and piano, singing in the Choral Society of Middle Georgia, amusement parks, Georgia agritourism and visiting Georgia historical sites. Most importantly, he values getting to know his patients on a personal level.

“I enjoy being a small-town family doctor whom everyone knows and trusts. I enjoy getting to know my patients’ life stories and their families’ stories and taking care of them from a holistic perspective so they can keep living their best lives,” he said.

Dr. Griffin is accepting new patients at Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care North Macon, 5437 Bowman Road, Suite 126, Macon. To make an appointment, call 478-633-1919.

Karlee Rolfes

Karlee Rolfes

Karlee Rolfes, a board-certified advanced practice nurse practitioner and primary care pediatric nurse practitioner, has joined the skilled pediatric care team at Atrium Health Navicent Children’s Care Downtown Macon.

Atrium Health Navicent Children’s Care Downtown Macon provides pediatric primary care for babies, children and teens including newborn care, well-child checkups, physical exams, immunizations and screenings, sick visits, minor injury care, and long-term treatment of chronic conditions.

Rolfes began her nursing career at Atrium Health Levine Children's Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in 2017 after earning her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University. She received the Pediatric Critical Care Rookie Nurse of the Year award the following year.

Growing up with a chronically ill sister and having health problems of her own as a child, Rolfes said she realized her purpose in life was to pursue a career in health care.

“Throughout my life, I have encountered many challenging obstacles that have led me to where I am today.  My background has led me to understand the importance of caring for children and providing comfort and support to families during stressful times. I knew at a young age that providing health care to children is my purpose in life,” she said.

Rolfes returned to Atrium Health Navicent this summer after working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Kathleen.

She and her husband, Preston, have been married for almost four years and have a beautiful baby girl named Margaret and a French Bulldog named Mack.

“In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and family, read a good book and take naps! Ever since welcoming our daughter into this world last year, naps have been few and far between, but I love to sneak one in every chance I get,” she said.

Atrium Health Navicent Children’s Care Downtown Macon is located at 1014 Forsyth St., Suite 100, Macon. To make an appointment, call 478-633-7600.
